Ready to give up! ZenCart is impossible

Hi

I've spent the past 3 days reading all the basics, customisation, FAQs and "stupid question" threads and I'm about ready to pack up on this product. All I'm trying to do is get rid of the zencart logos and put my own there. I've followed all the instructions on this site including creating my own template and
uploading my own images and inserting new code as required. But all I've got is a horrible mess and guess what? Those darn zencart logos are just about the ONLY thing still on my site.

I'm not a web newbie but this is driving me bonkers. So far I've had zero success and achieved a great deal of frustration. Can anyone PLS help me out?

life is simple,

create your logo,
name it logo.gif
upload it to the template images folder

view store
hit ctrl+F5

voila new logo

Please don't give up! A few weeks ago I was feeling the same way, but I'm (very) slowly getting my head around it now.
If you stick with it, you will get there. I'm getting there slowly & if I can you can too.

now you know how to remove the zencart logo's and such. if you want to remove zen cart text, and change the name of things, zencart has a sweet feature that allows you to search out the words/phrase and it will tell you where its located in what file...

look under TOOLS>Developers Tool Kit in admin. and you can do searches.
its here that you will find all the files that need editing to remove defined text you want to change..

then you can totaly customize your zencart.

SIDE NOTE: iv use many opensource carts like zen, however zen is not only the best as far a functionality and customizations go, but you get unsupassed support too. once you get the hang of how things work inside zencart, youll love it and never want to change. youll also find that everything you need to run/change/add zencart is right there at your fingertips inside the zencart admin console.

You've only got 1 post, cfqueen, and that's complaining about what you can't do. If you search the wiki, FAQ, docs, forum threads, and still can't find your answer, just throw up a hand for some help. It's going to take some time, especially if you're new to PHP and/or dynamic sites as well as Zen Cart.
