Hi all,
I have a client who sells curtains and blinds, which come in various widths and drops.
The way I had envisaged setting the products up was to have a basic 'model' for each curtain, then for each increase in drop, it would add a corresponding amount on to the price.
For example:
Bedroom Curtains Product 1:
Standard drop: 3 feet - Price £50
Then set up a drop options:
Drop 4 feet: +£5
Drop 5 feet: +£10
Drop 6 feet: +£15
...that kind of thing. Now, he feels that this is too complicated for his customers, and would like the dropdown box to display the final amount that the curtains would be. This would make the drop down menu:
Drop 4 feet: £55
Drop 5 feet: £60
Drop 6 feet: £65
My alternatives are:
1. Can Zen Cart set the prices and attributes this way? If so, how do I do it, as I cannot fathom it out.
2. Stop ZC displaying the "+£5" text in the drop down box, and they enter the total price in the option value text box. Can this be done through Admin, or do I have to tinker with the code? Also, if I have to change the coding, any ideas whereabouts in attributes.php I do this?
Sorry if I've droned on a bit here. All help is appreciated.
Many thanks,
Andrew
