    Default Gift certificate pricing question

Is it possible to have a box where a customer can put in the exact amount they want to be charged? I was thinking that rather than have an enormous pull-down menu of choices it would be much nicer and cleaner to have one box similar to the quantity box where one entered the amount of their choosing. Frankly I do not care if someone wants a gift certificate for $20.00 or $21.73 - it's all the same to me.

Is this something anyone has been able to configure? I have yet to see an area where the customer controls the price. For obvious reasons, I know.

    Best,

    Matt

Set your GV up for $1.00 and your quantity controls for fractional. Then they can order 1.93 in that add to cart section.

To make that really clear you might want to add a custom product type so that you can tweak the page layout to be just right for the Gift Certificates.
