It's working.

For future reference, when your client says they have a Merchant Account with Nochex, make sure:

1. They actually have it and not just applied for it
2. They have registered a Bank Account AND a Credit Card
3. They have finished the authorisation process by entering the payments from Nochex.



If any of these aren't done, the account seems to act as a Seller account and nothing gets passed back to the shop.

I am now going to have a stiff drink.

I am currently using Christian Pinder's 1.2 Nochex mod on Zencart 1.37 with a Nochex seller account, and it is all working fine.

I am shortly going to change to a Merchant account, so wondered if this was likely to have any issues, or should I upgrade to the 1.3 mod first.

Hey all,

I'm running a new install of zen cart 1.38 with Nochex payments set up... I have a merchant nochex account, orders can be placed on the site, everything go's through smoothly, but when i try to view orders in admin i get the following error and i'm unable to update any orders:

1054 Unknown column 'zen_order_id' in 'where clause'
in:
[select * from nochex_apc_transactions where zen_order_id = '2' order by nochex_apc_id DESC LIMIT 1]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Any help would be hugely appreciated...

Sorry to add into this thread but does this mean that if you have version 1.3.8 Nochex doesn't work as a payment module?
I have a Seller account with Nochex which takes payment but doesn't tell you what has been ordered on the site. All accounts etc have been verified.
Do I need to upgrade to a merchant account for this to work or am I missing an upgraded code somewhere?
The Nochex download is dated Aug 2007

I have contacted Nochex and guess what....they have sent me back to this thread
Reading through the full 13 pages again I have found the following statements.
If anyone can confirm they are true?

It is possible to remove the Nochex APC from Zencart 1.3.8 and then install the latest Nochex APC from the download section (Which works with Zencart 1.3.7)

Any help would be really appreciated as the last thing I want to do is start paying £20 a month for CC payments. I would rather donate £20 to anyone on here who can help instead.

The NoChex APC payment module in ZC 1.3.8 works fine. There are a couple of minor bugs in it but not show stoppers. You also have to be careful if you currently are using ZC 1.3.7 with NoChex and want to upgrade (it is possible but you have to pay attention to the details).

It works fine with both merchant and seller accounts. NoChex place certain restrictions on seller accounts though (amount you can receive etc).

Trying to do that would is very likely to break things and is not necessary.

It depends on how many orders you are taking and your average order value as to what works out best. Lots of people start with a third party payment processor like NoChex and PayPal and then later move to a merchant account once they become more profitable.

Thanks for the input CJPinder.

I am using the NochexAPC that is built into Zencart version 1.3.8
All my Nochex account has been verified, cards added, accounts checked etc
I am using a Seller account in Nochex.

The problem I have is that when someone buys anything through my site, I don't get any record of it in Zencart. I get an email from Nochex but it doesn't tell me what items have been ordered.
My hosting is with Fasthosts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Using normal/zencart recommended webhost, YOU do not install SSL,
your webhost does, using information provided by yourself.
However, Fasthosts is not normal webhost re zencart, regarding SSL, as you
have found out re your previous other forum posts regarding this matter.
You will save yourself a lot of time and trouble getting recommended
zencart webhosting account, with dedicated SSL cert.
