image handler 2 - cant see images

Hi,

hoping to find an answer to this one here before I bother the guy who set up zencart for me a while back.

Have version 1.3.0.1 - after reading through the upgrade threads, do not intend to upgrade to the latest version just yet. Site is not customised all that drastically but a few mods installed including image handler 2.

Have operated the site without problem since we started - have many products with multiple photography and also many with single images. Today I split one category into 3 subcategories and moved the items down a level into the relevant categories. This all seemed to work ok.

When I added a new item to one of the subcategories, it listed normally, saved the photo as expected (it said the file saved successfully and it showed up on the preview page) but when I view this item on the web, the image is missing see here:

When I look at image handler, most of the images in that subcategory are showing no photo (just the little red cross) but with the file size info below and they are showing up normally on the web. The photos for this item are also showing the red cross (instead of the image) but the message below is "no info".

Have deleted and re-uploaded using a new name - didnt help.

Am expecting to have to give my zen guy a call but is there anything I can check before this - or even better, a solution that an amateur might understand.

thanks - I did see that thread but it was so huge I couldnt get a handle on it. Even saw someone with a similar problem but they solved it without actually saying how they did it (in words that a newbie could understand anyway).

As advised, I asked this question over there so hopefully an answer will emerge.
