I'm having problems with HTMLArea. If I try to use this I'm unable to write anything. It is there but it acts like it's inactive.
Been searching the forum like crazy but haven't found anything like this.
Anyone with a quick solution?

If you are editing "define pages", but the files are marked as read-only on the server, then your editor area on-screen will be "disabled", as you describe.
There will be notes on the screen explaining the read-only status and what the correct path/filename is for marking read-write etc.

This is not the case, the screen looks as it should but I am not able to activate the actual editing area.

I've noticed this happening a lot with Firefox on some editors, notably FTB. Try it in IE if you haven't already.
