header is repeating itself!!

Ok I have two questions and I looked in the tutorials and tried the suggestions but it didnt work. MY header is repeating itself and I'm not sure how to fix it. Any suggestions, and the 2nd is I am trying to change the background color to main area not the background behind it . I have an image I want to insert , but am unsure where to put it and the code. Thanks for you help!!!!

I didn't notice any image repeating from the header, but I did notice a pink background in Firefox and a white background in IE7. I'm going to assume this is because of an hierachy battle between two stylesheet.css's. With that said, it doesn't help when there's syntax/parsing errors in both stylesheets.

What version is your cart?

I'd recommend an upgrade of cart and template. Furthering customizing on that obsolete template is more or less a losing fight as sooner or later... it will break.

When I upgrade wont I lose all my sutff/ the version is 1.3,
I have changed the code in my style sheet over and over to try and insert the background. What style sheet should I be in ?

When you upgrade, you'll have to design a newer based template. You'll probably have to re-install mods, if you have any installed. Most mods have been upgraded and others do fine as is. In the end, it's worth the effort to upgrade than having to hang onto a older version of cart... just for the sake of a template that will eventually bust anyways.

I've reviewed your site again, but every time I refresh... I see different things going on. I think I know what you're trying to accomplish though. I think you are referring to the content background image as repeating, I can see that now. Before, that image wasn't visible. That's a toughy, trying to use an image with text links to match underneath. I've never tried that, so I'm not the best resource for relevant information. I "think" the only bet is to use that image as a whole column background and go forth to set the column, itself, as a transparent entity over the image. From there, experiment with aligning everything together. Also, I guess it would be a real pain to add future categories and the like.

What do I know though? A bonafide template designer may say that this project is a walk in the park. Sorry, I can't be of more assistance.
