    Default fatal error on install

i tried to find an existing thead for this but could not. I also tried reinstalling the files to my server - since that appears to be a common source of issues

anyway, i get the following page while installing zen-cart - just after the page where i save phpBB settings (as no)

Warning: main(includes/templates/template_default/templates/database_setup_default.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /data/10/0/124/9/939824/user/965764/htdocs/forum/themeshop/zc_install/includes/templates/template_default/common/tpl_main_page.php on line 29

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/templates/template_default/templates/database_setup_default.php' (include_path='.:/usr/services/vux/lib/php') in /data/10/0/124/9/939824/user/965764/htdocs/forum/themeshop/zc_install/includes/templates/template_default/common/tpl_main_page.php on line 29

Please state the FTP program or web host's control panel used for uploading, so others may avoid the same problem of the mystical file droppings.

It's not uncommon, when uploading many, many, files at time, to have some files that do not get uploaded.
Can happen with any Hoster and/or any FTP program.

A good FTP program will have a feature that provides information on failed uploads.
Then you can easily see what uploads failed and reupload them.

One would have to check the features of their FTP program to see if it is provided.

    aha !! 99 lashes !!

Sorry that you've fallen prey to one of FrontPage's many fallbacks. I'm sure this won't convince you to retire it, if you're as die-hard as you suggest.

However, I'd strongly recommend a dedicated FTP program ... something solid and yet free, like FileZilla.

In fact, I'd recommend any of these over FrontPage at any time: Useful tools list

DrByte, although I agree with you and anyone else who says not to use FrontPage, once a person is using FP for working with their site they must also use FP for FTP'ing. Otherwise, FP will give an error/warning msg. that another program has touched 'whatever' file and can cause all kinds of problems for the User.

As a Hoster who provides FP usage to some of our Clients and, although I wish they would use something else, trying to solve FP problems like this is quite common. I usually tell them that once they start using FP they are "locked in" to using FP for pretty much anything, to do with working on their Web site files.
