I'm a little confused about the best way to set up an engraving option.

Is there a tutorial or faq about it around somewhere? There don't seem to be a lot of threads on the subject.

I'm currently setting up a store that will have at least two different types of engraving (two manufacturers, each offering a different set of fonts).

I see that I can add an Engraving option as a text box (what should the option value be? or can I even set one?).

Is there a way to limit the number of letters/words that are allowed on a particular product's engraving? For instance, some products are set up for just a single initial or a three letter monogram... If we don't put a limit on it, some joker's bound to try to put 4 letters in their monogram.
