How to turn off category picture on product category page but not the index

I have two sites using the Zen Cart. On one I managed to turn off the category pictures above the product listing in the category pages, and displayed them instead on the index. I can't figure out how I did it. I got them on the index page on the new site but can't get them out of the product list. Anyone know?

and

are the same pages in the two different carts. I'm at that frustrating point where my customer wants both to be identical--with the exception of the site name--and I can't figure out how i did the rest of what i did the first time in several places in the cart.
