Google sitemap 404 error

Can someone help pls I upload Google sitemap module. When I go to admin-> tools -> Google xml sitemap and click on

"STEP 1: Click [HERE] to create / update your site map. "

I get a pop up with 404 error page.

I hv uploaded the xml files and chmd to 777 and or 755 in module and nothing copies to it. I also deleted them and see if module would create it files, and nothing

Can you tell me what file you missed to correct the 404 error? I'm having the same problem.

Same here. It's crucial that all files are uploaded to the correct directory. Filezilla didn't upload the subdirs for some reason, so I had to manually upload each directory/file through the tree.

I set my cron job to run at 1am every day, wondering if this is too frequent to be run, but all it is doing is updating the XML files, not pinging the search engines.

Google Webmaster Tools reports it has successfully located the sitemap files, and all is working nicely. Cudo's to the author of this mod, and I for one am a big fan of all the mods and the folks who work so hard for this excellent product.
