How to have sub categories set and how to change font color in contents of side box?

everything about the way your page looks.. meaning its clothing colors and such to paraphrase are contained in the .css files. to change text colors look for statements like
color: #333;
or
color: #yellow;
or
color: #FFFFFF; (white btw )

if you use mozilla there is a program called "colorzilla" & also "color picker" that will help you learn what the different colors are. There is a new template called "nifty_zen" ( its been updated for 1.3.6 ) and I would recommend you start by looking over that one as she explains how to change things and where to look on your page for the change. Its what I used to learn with and I've ony been doing this a few days.

thanks for that. i just dun wanna change the colour and ruin the whole thing. i've already tried changing things by trial and error on the css files. but cant seem to see, esp where the colour change for the drop down boxes are.

it would be great if the all the css files were like the nifty zen- showing where all the changes can be made tho.

im tryin to match up my css file with the nifty zen one now but there are a few things so far that arent exact.

any idea on how to have the sub categories showing on all pages?
