I need to close a store for maintenance.
In the Configuration, Website Maintenance I turned Down for Maintenance on.
When I then tested and hit the site I received the following message -
Fatal error: Unknown(): The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition navigationhistory of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded _before_ the session was started in /home/jeanz/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 425

The site is using a custom template, and is jeanzandthings.com.
