category dropdown list wanted

Hi,

I looked at some contributions but couldn't find what I whas looking for. Also I searched through the forum but I couldn't find any info. I would like to change my category menu from a normal list, to a drop down menu.

Is there somebody who can help me out with this?

In the downloads area there is a css flyout menu designed for the sidebox catregories that works very well. As you did not state if you are using the category side box or the top nav bar categories, this might be what you are looking for.

If using 1.3.x and look at the css flyout this could be partially adapted along with some additional css to generate a top bar dropdown if you are up to it.

I have not seen that the author has ported the top bar drop down to 1.3 yet but this could be in the works, but as we all need additional time there are probably no promises.

There is a drop down category menu for the header here http://www.zenportali.com/index.php?...c=select&id=13You wouild have to adapt it to become a side box.

Its for 1.2.x though and I haven't tested it with 1.3

That's what I whas looking for. I had the header select box before from zenportali, but I couldn't remember now from where I got it.

I know it's for the 1.2.x, but I'll try to import it into 1.3.x.

did you get this to work in 1.3?
I've been looking for something like this forever, but I have Zencart 1.3.5 and needless to say that mod doesn't "quite" work in 1.3.5. It shows up and will take you to categories and such, but it looks a little funny.

I didn't know enough to figure it out but I have a friend who is making me a dropdown menu for categories. Right now it only shows top level categories until you click one then it shows subcategories, but he's working on getting subcategories to display all the time.(that's how i wanted it) If you want, when he's done I can send you the modified files.
