Can't access admin now

I have no idea what happened overnight. I upgraded from 1.3.5 to 1.3.6. After much trial and error I had it all running smoothly, complete with prior customizations. I went to bed. I woke up this morning and at first couldn't access my website at all. I checked with my host and it did say the server was down originally. I tried tracert the site and it timed out. About 2 minutes later it came up and I am able to access the front end of my site however I cannot get into the admin part of it. I receive this error:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I tried pinging and it appears to be fine but I couldn't tell you for sure because as soon as it's done pinging the whole box disappears! It's so fast that I can't even read what's being done. Not sure why the cmd box goes away after it's finished, it never did that before either.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why everything was working fine when I went to bed and now it's not responding this morning?

I would like to add that now I am not able to access the front end either. I managed to view my site just 2 minutes earlier and now IE is "Unable to display the page"..... My host claims my site is ok and running.

I also forgot to mention I'm running IE 7 and my site is www.whipperscrapper.net

Your site appears to be backup ...

Perhaps a server issue ... contact your host to see what was up with your site ...

Yep, it appears it was not an issue on my side (for a change!). They were having server issues which hopefully are resolved now.
