Help Needed - Urgent

I recently restored a backup version of my database and later realized that it screwed up my Spanish-language characters... Please check out my website and tell me what happened and how I can fix it, if there is a way... Our store is supposed to go LIVE tomorrow and this is not a good problem to have one day before doing so... www . my libros . com. Switch into Spanish mode and you will see what the characters are all doing... PLEASE HELP!

OK, I think I know what I did wrong... looking back, I think I opened the .sql file in notepad and copied and pasted into an SQL window and I don't think notepad supports foreign characters so that may be the problem... Can anyone confirm that this would cause the errors I am seeing on my website?

I stay away from using notepad because a lot of the files don't open correctly.

Why did you copy and paste? You can easily browse your pc, select your file and upload it.

If you use phpmyadmin:

Your charset should be set to utf-8 or you can try latin1.

instead of using notepad, use notepad++. http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm

it supports other language characters and i've found it especially useful for opening up non-windows based files
