How do I change the add to cart button?

I looked through the tutorials and the forum for the answer to this question. All I managed to find is where to find the buttons.

I want to change the add to cart button. I am using my own custom template, so I'd like it to make my template.

I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks!

Replace the current button graphic file with your new one. You don't even need to understand templates for this one...

Thank you for your help. I did read that part, however, I thought that was only if you were using template default. I did it, and got it to work.

where is the button located? I am trying to replace the "add this to my cart" button and did it in /www/shopping/includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english
but it did not chnage??!!

/includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/buttons/english

If you have a copy of the button in your own template folder, it doesn't matter what you do in template_default.
