    Default Dropdown quantity

I missed this in my search and it is probably very simple.

I want a dropdown box in the add to my cart box. I need to set the options for the quantity purchased.

    How do I do this?

I am new to Zen-Cart after using another cart for years.

    Thanks,

    Scott

One of the vendors in my wholesale buying club prices by unit but only sells by the case.

I need a drop down option where the only choices are 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. units as there are 10 units in a case or 8 or 6 or 12.

The products are for resale so he prices by unit so the reseller instantly knows the unit cost without having to figure it by dividing the case cost by the number of units.

I fooled myself into thinking I had it working. My solution was an illusion.

Back to square one. I still have the same need. To display the unit price but only allow orders by the case.

Are the units incremental on a per Product basis?

As in does a product need:
    2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 ...

    Where the unit is 2?

If so, that is what the Product Unit is for ...

If they are only allowed minimum of 10 and unit of 2:
    10, 12, 14, etc.

You can set the Minimum to 10 and the Unit to 2 ...

The products are sold by the case. Some cases are 6 units and some are 10 units.

    So it would have to be 6, 12, 18 or 10, 20, 30 respectively.

    I have:

    Product Qty Minimum: 10

    Product Qty Maximum: 0

    Product Qty Units: 10

    Product Qty Min/Unit Mix: NO

I can enter any number and I get an error screen if it is not 10, 20, 30, etc. but the customer will get confused.

It would be better if they could enter 1 for 1 case of ten.

On a single given Product if:

    Product A is 6, 12, 18, 24, etc.

    Product B is 10, 20, 30, 40, etc.

If that is correct, then you can just use the:
    Product Minimum
    Product Unit
    Product Maximum

    settings to acheive this ...

Sorry, but the translation of case is not built in ...

You could call them cases but there isn't anything to manage the real calculation or translation of 1 to 10 and 2 to 20 etc.

This would require custom coding ... if you cannot have the built in controls for the minimums units maximums work to manage this for you ...
