    Default Main vs Home

When I click on the pic on my main page it takes me to a page that says home.

I am confused by this because when I click on the "HOME" link it doesnt go to that page.

What should I do to turn off the altenate home page??

Here is the link to my site so you can see what I am talking about.

I very much hope that you have just changed from your customer template to the default classic template, 'cps otherwise your store is doing some really weird things or I've lost it completely (sadly a possibility).

I believe that you are confusing the home page for your site i.e. the one to which you go when you put in the link http://www.laminatecentral.com/zen-cart/ with the "main page" which a method of constructing core pages and will appear as part of the URL for most of the pages in your catalogue.

The problem that you actually appear to be having is that the link attached to your home page image appears to point to a product category (with ID 6) that doesn't have anything in it, so main_page gets a bit confused. I'd point that image towards a category with something in it (ID 1 for example) and see if things make a bit more sense.

And in the meantime, I'm very much hoping that you have indeed changed your template back again, because otherwise I'm going to have to cut down on my diet coke intake.

Nt to be flippant, but that would depend on how you pointed it in the first place. I can think of a whole host of possibilities but can't tell which you've used from outside of your site.

If you can't remember, then I recommend doing a search of your site files for to find when the image top_ban.jpg is used. The link will most likely be part of the <a> wrapped around the outside of that, though it might be partially dressed up by a zen function such as zen_href_link.

I thought that looked rather like a templatemonster template. The source code that it generates is so hacked about as to make it almost unrecognisable as a Zen Cart. I'm afraid that's going to limit the support that other Zen Cart users can give you.

An alternative way of checking that things are working OK, would be to put a product in category 6.

You log in to your Admin area and then select hover over the "catalog" entry in the menu and when the drop down menu drops down select "categories/products". Then click on the category into which you wish to add the new product and click "new product".

The product that you have in your database, is in category 1, not category 6 which is where the link attached to your image points to.

What you refer to as a page is not really a page at all, but Zen Cart's attempt to build a page when your template sends it somewhere that doesn't exist. So you can't turn the page off - because it doesn't exist to start with. All you can do is make it exist by putting a product in the category pointed to, or turn of the link to it by tracking it down using the advice given above.
