Hi All,
I don't require the Post/Zip code field when people signup so how do I remove this field? I've already changed it so it's not required but I'd really like to remove it altogether.
Thanks for your help,
Bearaman

The shop will be serving people in Ireland, most of whom don't use post codes. I've changed it so it's not a required field but I'd really like to comment out the code that places it there in the first place.
Any ideas where I could find this?
Thanks,
Bearaman
Hmmm, maybe someone can help me with this. I changed the minimum value to 0 to postal code, however it still marks the field with an asterisks and when I try to create an account, I get the javascript alert. Any ideas?
Same problem (and also in New Zealand).
Setting the minimum value to zero still causes validation on the field stating that it requires zero characters.
If I leave the field blank, it works (doesn't validate) but then the browser reports a syntax error on the page.
I'm using ZC 1.302 and am going to go study the bug-fix list now to see if this is in there.
Just adding to this thread.. bug reported and fix availabe here:

New Zealand is changing over, and the courier companies are now picking up all the new post codes, along with all the government departments, so I recommend that these stay in. On saying that, they are nowhere as precise as the UK ones, however each township and suburb does now have it's own postcode and this really pays off if the street name is the same.
Maybe New Zealand is changing over but in Pakistan they still don't use postal codes.
The same situation here in Nepal as well.
So, I did search the threads and found out the the solution in this thread.
Hope you find it worth.

Same in Hong Kong. I hope this gets into the next ZC release :)
