Sort order on Feature Products

Is there anyway to control the sort order on Featured Products - I would like to be able to group them in a specific manner when they appear on the home page -

Change it in the Configuration ... Featured Listing ...

Display Product Display - Default Sort Order
What Sort Order Default should be used for Featured Product Display?
Default= 1 for Product Name

1= Products Name
2= Products Name Desc
3= Price low to high, Products Name
4= Price high to low, Products Name
5= Model
6= Date Added desc
7= Date Added
8= Product Sort Order
