Classic still orange brown after upgrade

I tested a quick upgrade from 1.3.0.2 to 1.3.6 on two different sites.

NOW I wanted to admire the new much nicer green classic template and see how it looks with my site. OHHH what happend? It is still the yucky orange/brown, admin switched to orange/brown as well when I switch the template to classic.

HOW COME?

Here is how I upgraded. The results are the same on both sites.

Site 1:
I followed the upgrade instructions with all steps.
-copy of live site in test dir
-upload a merged version of 1.3.6
-upgrade only the db
-tested everything and looks good
-switched to classic template
>>still orange/brown

Site 2:
I just uploaded a 1.3.6 over my existing (test) site with intention to merge my override files in a second step.
-switched to classic template
>>still orange/brown

I intend to use my own templates after upgrade and did the steps to update the CSS and all files in the override folders. This seemed to have worked just fine. Why do I bother checking the Classic template? Well, I thought maybe some of my sites would look pretty good with something just like the Classic with minor tweaks. Anything that does not work as expected worries me!

Did anybody experience the same problem or knows what happened?

HI! mydanilo!

I had the same problem when upgrading to 1.3.6. The stylesheet in 1.3.6
is named stylesheet.css, where in 1.3.0.2 there were two - stylesheet_new
and stylesheet_original, so they didn't overwrite and are still in your
Classic css folder. Also, tile_back.jpg is tile_back.gif in 1.3.6.

Thank you. This helped.

In addition I deleted the extra folders that were in the classic folder left over from the previous release. Did a comp with the original 1.3.6 file set and what I had on the server.

Green as it should be now. Kind a like it. Finally a great starting point for building a custom template.
