Deactivate some elements

i set up zen-cart correctly and it works, but now i have a customizing question:

Is it possible to deactivate elements on the main-page like music genres, record companies, manufacturers or featured...??

All can be deactivated from your Admin.

yes thats what i thought but i cannot find the option in the admin-interface to deactivate for example music genres, record companies, manufacturers or featured...? where can i do that...?

and unfortunately i didnt find it in the tutorial...does anybody here know how to realize that...?
