Which SSL Certifications

Hi all,

can anybody help me in suggesting a 'good' SSL Certificate.
Browsing around I find lots of companies, but I am not sure which one to choose as they vary from 50 USD to 250 USD or more (with same category - simple SSL), from well known companies to unknown, etc. e.g.

Is there anything I have take into account?

What about the installation, is it difficult?
Why are the prices so different? Has it something to do with 'quality?

With SSL Certs you need to make sure you get one that is Dedicated, nobody uses it but you, and with at least 128bit encryption. After that, it's just a matter of price and installing.

GoDaddy offers good deals on SSL Certs and your Hoster should be able to install it for you.

Note: You'll need a Dedicated IP address in order to use a Dedicated SSL Cert. Something else you need to speak with your Hoster about as they will need to provide you with some information before you apply for a Cert.

Thank you very much for the input, I'll follow your advice and talk to the webhosting company...
The thing is that they also offer SSL Certs, but for around 150 USD per year, is this ok?

As the first link shows, they offer for 40 USD, which is quite a difference in a country where an average salary is 250 USD.

But sometimes paying more can avoid lots of problems, this is why I was not sure.

Most consumers, your customers, don't know one certificate form another. The important thing is that the GoldLock is showing and that they do not get warnings when moving through your site.
