    Default Different image folders

This must have been asked before, but I didn't find anything in search. For a site with a lot of images I would like to put the standard small images into categories, each with a subfolder in the main images folder.

Likewise, to put medium images in category subfolders in the images/medium subfolder, and the same with large. Then for all those images to appear on the various pages.

I see there are already some subfolders called, eg, dvd. What is the way to do this?

    Regards,

    Patrick

    Follow the pattern:
    /images
    /images/medium
    /images/large

    /images/something
    /images/medium/something
    /images/large/something

    /images/somethingelse
    /images/medium/somethingelse
    /images/large/somethingelse

    Thanks for the answer. With:

    /images/something
    /images/medium/something
    /images/large/something

    /images/somethingelse
    /images/medium/somethingelse
    /images/large/somethingelse

... will images uploaded into those "something" folders be found automatically? I presume not, as there needs to be a way to specify the various "something" folders when a new product is created.

So, if when adding a new product image I upload to /images/something, will the medium and large images in the "something" folder automatically be referenced for display?

    Regards,

    Patrick

Yes, it does, as long as I remember to 777 the new folders.

    Neat.

Thanks for the update that you found this does work for you automatically ...

The images are found from the base name and locates all images from that, including the path for small, medium, large, additional and additional large images ...

NOTE: additional images belong with the base image and additional large images belong with the large image ...
