I agree....This should be a mandatory piece of information not only with zencart but with any modes that use a stylesheet.
As a beginner, i can't account the hours i have spent sofar on a trial and error basis getting the stylesheet to work with different browsers.
After all my efforts and thinking i was complete in IE7, i then tried a number of other browsers and ended up back at the drawing board.
Get a copy of FireFox with the Web Developer and FireBug extensions.
They will show all CSS configs for any zencart template,
including current default, Classic Green.
Hi Misty, thanks for the advice.
I am using a thing called Rapid CSS which shows me all the settings.
The thing is a have had to workout what each class, element and indentifier relate to on the web page by trial and error because i haven't found that documented.
Are you suggesting the firefox developer will allow me to link to the page and see what each element is without making changes?
Cheers

super, i will give it a bash, thanks
also remember than not all class and id info that you find for elements on a page will be addressed in the stylesheet.....some stuff is just waiting for you to add it and style it. Have fun, I couldn't get along without the web developer plugin for firefox.

Thank you Misty for the valuable information, however I already use firefox with all the mods you mentioned and they are invaluable.
I was looking for something more like this though for the 1.3.6 version of zencart: http://avel.mambopanda.com/template_layout.htm(1.2.x)
It is a very useful tool for quick referencing.

You might think of creating one and contributing it...
This is only one page and there are many pages with differing div's and tags and a basic reason that "all" the information for every div & tag might be more confusing than assistance.
