subscriptions and a different group

i essentially want to set up a buyers club in my store. is this possible in zencart. if they subscribe they auto get different permissions and prices?

You can set a group in the admin and add customers to it manually.

To automate, you will need to do some custom coding to your signup and whatever you use for this member joining be it a product in the cart or another join method
