    Default 2 flat fees needed

I tried to follow in other posts for other countries and i don't know that i really understood. I just need two flat fees for the two communities my client ships to (both in the same country). i have a zone set up with the country canada, and the province. Then in zone definitions i have the two communities (South Porcupine and Timmins) which seems fine since when i do shipping zones, those are my options....

So for now i have just the one flat rate for Timmins working (although i have not specified the zone).

I need a second flat rate option and the job is done. Flat rate 1 and flat rate 2 but it isn't that simple of course. I saw references to cloning modules and i am maybe not advanced enough to understand all the files that need to be duplicated and what code changes need to apply (if any) to make that happen.

Can someone please shed some light or if you have resolved this issue, give me a heads up?

My shipping is not based on weight, item or cost. It is a delivery fee.

Default Re: 2 flat fees needed

i managed to fake it usingflat fee + table rates by specifying my rate for orders (by item) up to a ridiculous amount and then setting the zone on both. my options only have the orange button but after testing it is working.

I figure i have orange buttons because i used zones slightly incorrectly. I deleted all the countries but 1 and then created my zones based on neighbourhood, and used variations of a 2 or 3 letter character code (since this is picked up as the province/state code.) Another note is that although i have two flat fees, i had 4 communities. I was able to compensate for this using the zone definitions detail (which is what that section is for anyhow).

So now when customers register they are asked to confirm their state/province which gives them a drop down of the communities available...which works just fine.

They are linking to the right zones and getting charged the correct delivery fee.

So if anyone needs to fake 2 flat fees like i did, send me a message
