    Default zenid

Why is the session id attaching itself to the category page?

    /index.php?main_page=index&cPath=5&zenid=1af8abca2ea754187ce48ab3437f4a6e

    I am using 1.3.6

The zenid shows on the first click on the shop and on secure pages ...

If it continues to show after that ... you could have session issues, code issues, etc.

What are the settings in the Configuration ... Sessions ...

You should not see it except as I described ...

If you see it beyond that, then there could be something setup incorrectly on sessions or on your server ...

Do you have an URL to your site?

NOTE: sometimes closing all browser windows, clearing your cache and cookies will fix this based on weird conflicts that might of occured while setting up your site ...

I'm confused.. that "solution" is totally unrelated. I'm still looking for the source of this zenid persistance.

no, cookie settings are default. Same behaviour in ie, ff, and opera.

I think I figured it out though... in cPanel I have the domain forwarding directly to the shop's folder... and it wasn't matching the domain set up in configure.php

In other words... the htaccess file was forwarding domain.com to domain.com/shop while the site was expecting www.domain.com/shop

I changed it and it didn't seem to make an immediate difference (cookies catching up?) but now my problem seems to be gone.

I'm not sure if that makes sense or not... but I didn't change anything else.

That would make sense as the forward was preventing the session from managing itself right so it had to keep passing the zenid to keep track of itself ...
