I have looked around here but hoping someone could give me some advice. I've always run an e-download store, and now I'm setting up one that is no longer virtual.

We sell products and ship only to the US and via Priority Mail. I have enabled the USPS module. I am aware of the shipping tares. Just not sure how to set them up. We ship the 12 x 12 boxes from the USPS that run a base of $4.95 per box within the US.

Now, I've set up a test product in my store that is at .5 lbs. Every time I adjust I can't get the priority mailing shipping on that item to show up at $4.95. It's going to $4.05 with no tare set (0:0). I'm sure it's a percentage thing, any suggestions?

I know you are probably also thinking, why isn't she just doing Flat Rates. We want to charge a per weight because if a customer buys multiple products we don't want to lose out. Suggestions for that?
