red flag Server Crashing

Our hosting company suspended our account because they said a loop in the /html/ folder, had files that were looping endlessly they said several GET in the folder /html/imagesblue2006/ were causing the issue (we use zen cart to generate individual html pages for our products). We put it on a server our programmers had and it seemes to have worked fine for several days now. Seemed to have happened after we did an upload of about 60 new products to the database. It was looping and causing server loads of 300+.
The programmers seem to think that when the product pages are getting generated (after an upload of new items), because of shared server, the load is getting generated.
They generated a log file to see if any loop is occuring and to find out the time taken. No exceptions were noticed and time taken is also within control. Would it make sense, what the programmers are saying, or do you think its a problem with their script modification to zen cart?
ANy suggestion would be greatly appreciated, as I'm totally new to zen cart and lost.

As this does not occur with a default install of ZenCart and shared hosting is the norm for most stores versus a dedicated server, I would tend to believe that this is being caused from something in the custom code. This is a guess without seeing the actual code.

As Zencart is fairly extensible and can be configured to have per page styling I do not fully understand why separate html pages are being generated in the first place. But again I do not know the exact reasoning behind this.

Hi John,
its the recurring get statements that do not close,
this is a per page issue,
the deal is that your programmers created their own frankenstein within the framework of zen,

when it would have been much simplier to make Zen look like your exsisting site,

Fire the coders and hit Commcerial Help Wanted.

Choosing Designers, Hosts, and Programmers may also help.

Thanks, I wish they had taken that route. I'm not sure what there reasoning was in not making Zen look like our exsisting site. They did a good job with our naturalopal site, but I guess maybe because our customers had asked us not to change the format of simplysapphires, and we've always gotten terrific search rankings with html, they chose that Frankenstein type format, now we just have to get the bugs out quickly or we'll miss our most important two month period. At least from what you mentioned, that gives me a place too continue the fix.

Hi John,
you can have them do a complete new template faster than they can trouble shoot this one,

seriously,

it will require an index.html
then have the categories pop into the sub categories

then have the products pop up and the add to cart is right there,
then you can use 301 redirects to maintain the links and page rank.
