    xhtml problem Can't see New applied Template

    hello,
    I sucessfully installated in my godaddy hosting (unix/php) the zen cart software and I saved in the INCLUDES/TEMPLATES/ the template I bought from you "TM007", I changed the default theme that comes with zencart and activated TM007 but when I go to the store I get this errors:

    Seems you are missing that file. Have you confirmed it is there?

    Oh, oh! Judging by the copyright years and archaic code in the stylesheet, along with old table structure...methinks this is a relic template. I remember those kind of errors from a demo one I tried on a v1.3.2 , it would have taken way too much work to get it right. Looks like it could have been a nice template, asides from that awfully pixeled green pod-like image.

    I thought the seller(whom I think) updated their templates recently... best be going back for a return.

    Elsewhere you have posted a request for a freelancer to help you to get this template to work. WHY?

    Sketchy is absolutely right that this is an old template. It doesn't work with the current version of Zen Cart, or the one before that, or the one before that. Template Monster know this, but they keep on selling it anyway. Why would you pay somebody to fix it - that's Template Monster's responsibility.

    I recommend demanding that they fix it or refund your money. If they refund, PM me and I'll send you a list of companies who sell templates that do work with the current version of Zen Cart.

    Given that they appear to be happy taking money for templates that no longer work, I fear that you're right.

    Well - they also make money from templates that should work but don't - so I don't see this as being particularly different. I've never known of anyone whose been able to get them to fix a broken template yet.

    Well, I had a LIve chat with Simon from customer support and got a sarcastic solution....told me to simply install version 1.2 of zen cart if I want to use the old template.

    Is unbelievable still in 2006 we have such nasty "Customer Support help". I didn't even asked for my money back, I just wanted a WORKING template so I can FINALLY setup my store and keep on.

    No future for this kind of business that prefers to sell once and lost customers by not doing what they should... no brains....

    My last try, T sent to supervisor an email explaining all...
    But I think my $177 went to hell......

    I won't forget.....

    if they won't fix it.. you can do a chargeback (yes.. the ill words that no store owner wants to hear.. it hurts just saying it!!). if they are going to false advertise a template then you have every right to do one of those. of course see if you can get a refund first, but if they keep saying no then you only have on last resort

    There have been a huge number of improvements to Zen cart since 1.2, including a reworking of many files to improve security and plug holes through which hackers can sneak. Suggesting that you install it to run their out-of-date template is like an auto parts store suggesting that you trade down your car to an older model that is no longer roadworthy just so that you can fit their parts. It's outrageous.

    In an ecommerce forum the word chargeback send an uncomfortable shiver down my spine, but getyourgameshere is right, if Template Monster don't respond appropriately, then I hope you do pursue them all the way, not just for you, but also for the other Zen Cart users that they are ripping off.
