where is the error? i have the seetings according to the host abe he also gave me the following. "usr/sbin/sendmail"

i'm desperate. so i also went over the class.phpmailer.php and in line 116...

shouldn't it say "var $Mailer = "sendmail" instead of
    "var $Mailer = "mail"?

    and in line 122...

The support guy insisted that the setting is "usr/sbin/sendmail" and not "/usr/sbin/sendmail"

the thing is that i can send text-only mails but as soon as i change to mime html mails they stop working. the server said HTML mails are allowed by the server.

    so... PLEASE HELP

As of v1.3.6 you can now test this ...

Trying changing your email transport to using php as the email transport method as a test ...

Well ... edit the path as your support claims their server is setup ... not sure why it would be set that way and how 90% of your email works when 100% is using the same email routine ...

Does it work? This would be very, very strange ...

Or, set up a test directory with a test database install the test demo data ...

Does it work? If so, then you have something not set right in your shop ...

Presuming this is a Linux Server:

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false

Ask the Server what the correct sendmail path is: Tools > Server info
    search for: sendmail_path

The server IS a Linux server. that, i know. but... How would i be able to send html mails IF i set MIME HTML to false?

    the "send_mail path" is: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i

Was this problem fixed as I am having the same issue.

I cannot send HTML emails no matter what I change the settings to. my "send mail path" is the same as the above posters.

It is a Linux server from midphase.

    E-Mail Transport Method PHP
    E-Mail Linefeeds LF Info
Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails true Info
    Send E-Mails true Info
    Email Archiving Active? false Info
    E-Mail Friendly-Errors false Info
Emails must send from known domain? No Info
    Email Admin Format? HTML

    those are my current settings

it can be the host... my host just doesn't allow html mail. i wouldn't recoment to use this host: Dot 5 Hosting. They are cheap but the customer support sucks, they don't offer dedicated ssl (not even 3rd party), don't allow html emails (TXT only)
