    Default Logo not appearing

    Hi,

    I have installed zen cart at http://exclusivejudaica.com/
    My client is complaining that on some people's computer (I think all with xp pro) the logo Banner.gif (which is the main logo when you go on the site) is not there. On my computer I see it fine. When my client goes to the physical path of the image http://exclusivejudaica.com/includes...ges/Banner.gif , there is no image - just a blank page which says done.
    So the image is there (as he did not get an error that the page does not exist) but the page is blank.
    I have installed it on a windows server.

    If anyone can help me out with this, I would really appreciate.

    Your main page has 14 css errors, 9 html errors, and 126 html warnings

    Might want to get a copy of Firefox with the Web Developer Extension and the FireBug Extension.

    Fixing these may also fix your image problem.

    Hi Leora

    dlbtoe's validation program was being kind to your site. The w3c markup validation service came back with a whopping 520 errors for your home page.

    This is the most I have ever seen, though large numbers are not unusal for sites derived from Template Monster templates such as this as they tend to hack the code about to make the sites pretty, but do so in non-standards compliant ways.

    Unfortunately this also makes it very hard for us to advise on how to fix problems (as there's usually so many we don't know where to start and they all go bumping into each other). I'd advise going back to your vendor.

    I also tried looking at your banner image, but when I use the link you provided, I get a page not found message.

    Hi,

    thanks for the replies. I have also found problems with the template but as I did not write it (and not being paid to rewrite it, I am leaving it as is).
    I did solve the problem though.
    The Logo image that was not being dispalyed was titled banner.gif this was causing and ad-blocker to block this image from being displayed.
    All I had to do to solve this problem was change the name of the image!

    ... and as other posts on this forum will show, this vendor tends to wash their hands of the template anyway once they've received money for it.

    Thanks for posting the info about the effects of naming the banner file this way. I've not seen that before, so it's helpful new information as I'm sure other people will have this problem in the future.
