    Default Shipping prices....

I have a bit of a problem... I need to set my shipping cost to be a certain amount for shirt and clothing items, and a different amount for shoes.

It seems a little ridiculous to be paying $7 shipping to ship one t-shirt that only costs $20.

Any ideas on what I should do?

There are a lot of ways to do this ...

UPS and USPS are actual rates from a real time quote ...

Per Unit perweightunit allows you to set shipping per product based on the products_weight and using that as the actual shipping rate per product per quantity ...

Per Item allows for a Handling charge and then the per Item charge ...

Have you a bit more specific definition of your shipping charges?

I understand the real-time thing, and that would be a great idea, but it says its doing it based on (1x3.0lbs) most of my items don't even weigh 1 pound. I realize that UPS counts anything under a pound as 1 pound, but $7 just seems really high for 1 item and i don't know how much it will go up for more items.

Also, I am aware that if I were to have a UPS account, rates are better at around $5 instead of $7, BUT how do I get the UPS module to reflect this?

How can I remove an addon?

Im having issues with TY Package Tracker, and the author has been MIA thru multiple requests for assistance.

Is there an "easy" way, or reverse all the code change? (ick)

Perhaps adjusting the TARE in the Shipping/Packaging so it doesn't add 3lbs would help ...

    I'd peek in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... for the Shipping/Packaging configuration settings ...

    Here's another problem...

I finally input shipping weights for every item, hoping the usps would give an accurate price for shipping. So i get an order and the module tells the customer it's $11.90 for shipping. Which is almost 3X more than it actually costs to ship this particular item. When i tested it, it gave me the correct cost.

I didn't realize the usps module is calculating the customer address into the equation? This doesn't make sense, considering this does not happen at the post office when I'm shipping the item.

Basically, I'm trying to get an accurate shipping cost for customers and thought inputting the weights would do this.

The live quotes are taking the origin address (your's) and the customer's address (shipping) and setting the rates based on your configuration of the shipping options ...

You can also pad the shipping cost with a Handling Fee or with the Tare in the Shipping/Packaging ...

What settings are you using in the USPS Shipping Module?

You said there is a 3 times difference between the USPS calculator and your quote via USPS ...

What is the weight of the order?

    Where are you shipping from?

    Where are you shipping to?
