How do I increase the length of the customer input fields?

I just installed a new copy of zen cart and everything went smoothly. However, when I try to do a test registration I am limited to how many characters I can input on the registration page. For example: E-mail only allows me 14 characters, First Name only allows 4 characters and Last Name only allows 5 characters.

I have reinstalled 2 or 3 times and still the same issue. I have also checked the database and it seems as the character lengths are set well over what I need.
