Categories based on Queries - is it available?

Hi everybody,
I'm a new zenner, so please forgive the ignorance:
You may have seen on some web pages categories that are based on queries, i.e. Heading reads: Browse by price; the categories are: $1-$10; $11-$20, $21-$50, etc.

In my understanding, such categories are not manually created, but are using the price variable (please correct me if I'm wrong). Just imagine how much work it will be to do it all manually...

Anyway, is such a function available in zen cart? can this be done via admin (somewhere else?), is a mod required/existing? does it need to be hardcoded? Thanks.

You might look in the Downloads and see if there isn't a sidebox for shop by price ...

You may be able to adapt that to your needs ...

Ajeh, thanks for the response: I looked, but couldn't find anything like it; however, I believe I have a solution. In advance search there are fields where you can specify start and end price, so I guess, this could be the easiest way of populating the string and placing it via admin in the url, when adding a new category. The advance search can also be used to populate other dynamic strings.
