Payment info page has lost Gift Certificate entry area

Payment info page has lost the Gift Certificate entry area.

I can no longer get it to show under the coupon and above the credit card/paypal area. Did I turn something off somewhere.
It's showing fine in the payment module configure area and in the Gift Certificate/FAQ sidebar, but it's gone on the payment page.

Check in the Modules ... Order Totals ... do you have Gift Certificate installed?

Make sure it does not use the same Sort Order as another Order Total Module ...

Are you running v1.3.6?

I removed and reinstalled the Gift Certificate module.
It's sorting at 840, just above the Order Total (default)

I thought for a while that some of my code was messed up as Scott and I are modifing things with Quantity Discounts and Discount Coupons.
I replaced the original code in the folder again and it's still not displaying the entry field and dialog for Gift Certificate on the Payment page after Discount Coupon. Kinda weird

Any other ideas?

Does there need to be a purchased gift certificate in the release queue for the dialog to even show up on the payment page?
I could have sworn it was there last week.

I just swapped out the Order Total folder from a backup to see if it would show up and it did not. Hmmmm

If no GV exists in the database ... then there is no point in displaying it ...

I just added one and (of course) it displayed perfectly

Thanks for the update that unless there is a GV then the GV redeem has no reason to show so it does not ...
