Thanks for the great mod; it is just what I was looking for to get me out of a hole. I have even managed to do my own first bit of customizing and make the categories reappear in the site map, search, side boxes and top menu once people log in!

I have experienced the Advanced search issue defaulting to the last category as reported by gazag so will check his thread for a fix.

One thing I have noticed is that the category counts in the left hand menu box include items in hidden categories as well. No one seems to have mentioned this before so it is either something I have done wrong, no one else uses category counts or no one has noticed.

I have turned category counts off for now but am curious as to whether this mod is meant to cover that area as well?

Based SOLEY on the information you posted I cannot say for sure what has happened. So the thing I do suggest is that you recheck your install as this mod does make change to exclude hidden products from searches. If things aren't working correctly it suggests that something went wrong with your install..

I've rechecked my install, and the problem seems to be in this file : includes/modules/pages/advanced_search_result/header_php.php,

when I upload my original file, the search functions works fine, but it shows also the items in the hidden categories,

Did you MERGE this file with your own or use the one from the package??

I used the one from the package, I made no other changes to this file for other mods.

The latest version was submitted by another community member so I cannot remember the details of the change made to this version.. I know that it modified the advanced search page, and the reason for the change was to correct another issue (which escapes me at the moment). If you search this support thread, the reason for the change and the details behind it are posted.. See if you can locate those posts in this support thread.. It might provide some insight into the issue you are having..
