Adding a promo product/attribute discounts

Okay. Here is a suggestion, i cant find anywhere that says its been done or suggested. I think we need a module that would allow you to setup a product promotion. For Example:

Buy Product A and it will add Product C to your card free




Now. Here is another. Discounting attributes based on a promo code.

Like in my case. If a customer adds gift wrap to their order for $4.95 using an attribute, if they enter the coupon gift, i want it to be able to take the amount off only if they have that attribute choosen. If i just make a coupon to take off 4.95 they are use it with or without gift wrapping, since an attribute isnt a product and your cant restrict it.

I hope this makes sense.

Kamino - the better together mod allows for buy one get one free - though the customer will have to add the free product to their cart manually.

Have you looked at that mod as part of a solution ?

Better Together help is in my signature block. I don't know of anything that would help your second problem though - this has not been done to the best of my knowledge.

I just added specific buy one get one free feature to Better Together. Depending on your needs, you may wish to use the original feature (add_prod_to_prod) or the new feature (add_twoforone_prod). See the help for details.
