Catalog Structure

Is there a thread or faq that can point me in the right direction for the structure for the database in zencart? I am attempting to set up a store for a bike shop that sells after market parts thru catalogs. I have a data base already built, so if I could just set up the categories in zen per instructions, then link the tables and do my initial inventory upload and maintenance with MySQL or Access, it would be ideal. Is this possible?

You can view the table structure using phpmyadmin, there are also several mods to enhance entry or access to the product info in the downloads section.
I have not looked but there is also a migration outline when converting from osc that might aid in the internal workings.

I am not aware of a DB map per se but it might exist...

Thanks for the reply...very helpful, also once I dug a little deeper it's detailed in the installation manual. You have to sift, not very direct, but I will try and make notes and post a simple way to organize and upload a new catalog.

Hi - there is somewhere a pdf file with database structure on wiki - I downloaded it some time ago and must have deleted by mistake... I tried to find it again on wiki, but without results at this time... Maybe you will have more luck - please let me know.
