    Default Customizing Tagline Help

    I followed these instructions to change the tagline:

    To change the “Sales Message Goes Here” or “Tagline Here” text to say what you want open the includes/languages/ENGLISH/header.php file in your text editor. Find the following line of code:
    define('HEADER_SALES_TEXT', 'Tagline Here');
    Replace the tagline text with your own text, making sure that the single quote marks are not left out.

    However, it didn't work...did the same thing with the welcome message but it didn't work either. Instead of my message it says Heading_Title and Text_Greeting_Guest. The tagline Here just stayed the same. I saved the changed index.php and header.php to includes/languages/english/custom.

    Here's another weird thing...the cart looks completely different in Mozilla 1.7 than it does in IE 6. It's missing graphics in Mozilla...

    If there is somewhere that has the answers to my questions just point me there...Thanks a bunch!

    Looks to me like thios isn't working because your saving the changes into th custom template directory, instead of your own template directory "fmpgreen".

    The instructions said to put the header.php file in includes/languages/ENGLISH/
    and the index.php file in includes/languages/ENGLISH/custom . If this isn't correct where should it go? I put both files in the fmpgreen folder but it changes nothing. I just need a clear path for these files and I'm not getting clear directions where to put them so that changes show up in my cart.

    General rule of thumb - if you see a classic folder it is an over rideable area. In your case you will want to make a folder includes/languages/english/fmpgreen and put your index.php and any other folders you edit which currently reside in includes/languages/english

    hope that helps

    "CUSTOM" is a generic term and can be changed to the name of your own folder.

    As Tina pointed out you should have the following structure:

    includes/languages/english/fmpgreen/header.php

    Ok that makes sense. Thanks very much. Whew! This set up is driving me nuts not being familiar with php or css...I feel like a baby that needs to be walked through each step, which I suppose I am. LOL Next up...how do I get a transparent gif to show up in the header over the green background and how do I add text, and thumbnails...etc etc...I need a drink.
