One category has a different product listing

This is quite odd. One category , Jewelry, has a different product listing than all of the rest. It show the Add followed by a box instead of the more infor or buy now.

Can somone have a look at tell me what is going on here.

Those products don't have a required attribute.

You can turn off the add-to-cart quantity box on all your listings by changing the settings for these:
Admin->Configuration->Product Listing
-- Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location
-- Display Product Add to Cart Button

I just need it to behave as the others do withouth me having to add attributes.

I am sorry i think I have both the configs set the way you say above and it sitll does nothing different.

I would like the quantity box to be replaced with a buy now button.

If you look at the Accessories category, you'll see one entry that also displays the way your Jewelry category displays. Similarly with Holiday Items. All the rest say "more info" because they have attributes which require selection.

I would suggest that to disable the Qty-Input boxes and simply display a buy-now button, the following should work:
- Change "Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location" to 0.
- Change "Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)" to 1
