    Default ZenCart vs Drupal

    Hello,

i want to use ZenCart for a company project. But now im facing the challenge to convince my project manager to use ZenCart instead of Drupal and that is not so easy... ;)

Is there any resource available where the advantages of ZenCart are outlined over another tool like Drupal? or what are u thinking why it is better...?

Drupal is a Content Management System (CMS) and far as I know there are no native e-commerce solutions to Drupal. They are all third party add ons and you have to worry about making the databases sync by a bridge.

    Zen-Cart is a shopping cart.

Joomla CMS has an OSCommerce component that works great if you like OSC.

If you are building a shopping cart only - Zen is the answer.

    Hey Scott,

    other than the forum,
this entire site is built on zen cart.

so it can handle anything you want to throw at it

Zen-Cart can operate as a CMS?

That is nice to know. I build most CMS sites with Joomla. It would be nice to have a shopping cart that could function that way.

YES! Zen Cart can function as a basic Content Management system using the EZ Pages functionality that is built-in. Then you have the Shopping cart already fully integrated and don't have to 3rd party add-ons that may not do what you need.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

I have to creat a web shop for electronic items, a content management system is used to administer several different content, right?

    Mathon,
ezpages are bare pages that you create to do what you want,
and they are already a base part f Zen Cart,

look st the DL section of zen cart, thats an ezpage

look in the admin under tools
