Shipping Module or Add on, Info Needed

I am new to Zen Cart. I have not installed it on my site yet.

During my investigation of shopping cart systems I noticed some customers on a forum being impressed with a vendor feature. When they order a product they automatically receive an email confirming the product order and a Fed Ex tracking number. Is this apart of Zen Cart, a module or a seperate software? I would love to implement this feature with my Zen Cart install. However, I do not know what it is exactly.

Has anyone heard of this feature? Thank you for helping.

This is not built into Zen Cart at this time ...

There have, however, been add-ons created for shipping tracking that might be of help to you ...

Have you peeked in the Downloads or the Archived Downloads?

Perhaps a search on: tracking

will help locate some of these for you ...

Thank you for the reply. I saw the UPS download for tracking. I will search some more open source software to see if there is software out there. If there is I will post back my solution here.

I was just wondering about displaying UPS tracking numbers. I found this thread, but when I looked at the download modules, didn't find anything related to this.

Feature for ZC 2.0 perhaps?
