customization question......

1st: i have seen several sites with images for the top and bottom of their sideboxes.... i found leftboxheading etc... would i use leftboxfooter? also, how do you control the size of the image so that it doesnt repeat? with this also... (i could probably find it i am just not there yet.. first the image) is the css where you would turn off the side box header text?

2nd: I have also seen several sites with maped images as their header_bg..... that is usually an html script..... does any one know if it is or is not? if it is... how do they input the mapping? if it is not... how do they do it? :)

3rd: Changing the names of side boxes and adding new ones... I know how to change the actuall links... englis.php and the actually code in that particular php file... is that the same way you change the header... for ex go into the more_info.php and also the tpl_more_info_default and english php....? Is that the right track....? And when it comes to addin? do i have to script edit the mysql?

4th ( and probably last) this is more of a verification than a question... flash is simply inputed into the html pages correct... (defin pages and so forth)?

i hope this isnt too many questions for one thread.. but they all go hand in hand and are all customization issues... thanx in advance

thanks for the post clyde.... your are all over the place .. i actually figured that part out when i found the tutorial on how to replace text with images..... for the headers..... i tried many different forms of search and still could not find a tutorial on adding new side boxes.... found a mod for new pages..... not side boxes

thanks for the threads.. will check them out.. also found a mod for blank sideboxes.. would imagine they could easily be titled and linked....
