yes, i see an import tab
TO RESTORE THE DATABASE:
- open phpMyAdmin
- select the database you wish to restore INTO, from the dropdown menu
- click on the IMPORT tab
- click on the Browse button, and select the file you downloaded when making the backup
- click Go

the good news is that with some minor adjustments and adding the side boxes again, everything appears to be working :)
the bad news is that over 2/3rds of my images have disappeared. I looked in the images folders and most are gone gone gone. That will teach me to do a backup of my images on a cd from now on!

i'm attempting to transfer my database from one site to another, and the previous site is 1.3.5, new site is 1.3.6
i followed the phpmyadmin instructions here and after hitting GO when importing this is what i get:
