Default Display products based on Customer?

Is it possible to display only certain products to certain customers? I realize this would take work for each individual customer, but we will be controlling the number of customers that we have.

For example, we know customer A has typeA printer, he only needs typeA ink, so we only want to show them typeA ink. OR at least have the typeA ink show up for them first. I dont really care if they could browse to other products, but we dont want to have to make the customer find the typeA ink everytime they login. Then all they need to do is enter a quantity for the colors of ink that they need to order.

Did that make sense? Is it possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You might look at Cross Sell ... so when the customer finds either the printer or the ink it would display related products ...

Thanks Ajeh. That is not quite what I am looking for, but I can see why you suggested it. The printers wont be listed on the site, so that's why that won't work. We are just selling the 'ink' online, and dont want the customer to order the wrong one.

I have been thinking it might just be easier to create my own database and interface - skip Zencart altogether. Although I love it for other sites I have built, it just might not work for this one. There are a couple other 'picky' things that we want to do that just might be "easier" another way.
