    Check the:
    Linkpoint/YourPay Merchant ID
Please enter your Linkpoint/YourPay Merchant ID.
This is the same as the number in the PEM digital certificate filename for your account.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives.

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

    Paypal works fine
You may need to generate a new PEM file.. I believe it goes into includes/modules/payment/linkpoint_api (if using the 1.3.6 built in module)

Had this problem a month ago.. nothing had changed but it wouldn't connect. Someone on CardServices' end had changed something related to my account which rendered my PEM file invalid.. a quick call to tech support got them to generate a new one for me and I downloaded it through LP Central.. worked fine since

I uploaded a copy of the PEM file to the testing (soon to be live when I figure this out) store and the module already had this information in it.

Here's the funny thing -- I put a $1 widget in my live store (which hasn't had a sale since Friday -- but that's not unusual in itself) and tried to buy it -- and I got the same message. I've done nothing different to this store since July.

Since nothing has changed ... and code doesn't re-write itself ... perhaps you need to speak with LinkPoint and see what the issues are and if something has been reset on your account ...

An update -- Card Services, Linkpoint, and everyone else envolved are morons.

It turns out that in July, they never actually set me up with Linkpoint.api -- but with linkpoint Central. However they did give me a PEM and all worked -- until recently. They can't explain why it worked.

So after beating my head against the way for the last 10 hours and pointing the finger at everything from the server to the modules, and two hours on hold trying to explain to someone in India that it worked for 6 months while they told me impossible -- it is the knuckleheads with Card Services.

    Thanks for the update ...

Sometimes an account does get setup in error ... usually, you find the problem right away ...

In your case, it was skirting an issue that would of been caught months ago ... most unusual ...

    Appreciate the update!
