Default Moved files...can I delete original?

This is going to be hard for me to explain as I don't quite understand what I'm talking about. Hope you do!
I had all files in a folder called cart (www.icklebits.co.uk/cart/). I copied all files and put them into the main directory so that when they put in www.icklebits.co.uk it would go straight to the cart. So far so good.

Now I went through both config files and got rid of "cart" everywhere that it was. Now all was fine until I renamed the cart folder. I changed it just so I could see what would happen before I deleted it.

Now all of a sudden I can't get in to my admin screen. I renamed the folder back to cart again and it worked fine. Why is it still requiring the cart folder? Can I not delete it now?

This is the error message I got when I renamed the cart folder as a test before deleting:

Warning: main(/home/ar01ickl/public_html/cart/includes/autoload_func.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ar01ickl/public_html/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 147

Warning: main(/home/ar01ickl/public_html/cart/includes/autoload_func.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ar01ickl/public_html/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 147

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/ar01ickl/public_html/cart/includes/autoload_func.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/ar01ickl/public_html/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 147

Once I put the name back to cart its fine. I've also altered the line in sessions in the admin screen to get rid of the cart folder.

Please help me. I know its frustrating dealing with beginners like me but you've all been so helpful so far!!!!!!

I sit here waiting eagerly for your responses!

    Thanks in advance.

I forgot to say that it is actually going to www.icklebits.co.uk/admin but once I get rid of the original Cart folder with the old admin folder in it, it won't go.

It's not ike its going to the old www.icklebits.co.uk/cart/admin but once you get rid of the cart folder the error message that comes up is in relation to it.....argh.

I hope this makes sense to you. Sigh.

I am not getting any errors ... just looking at the main store and the admin login page ...

Try closing all of your browser windows ... clear your cache and cookies ...

Does it work now for you?

    Hi!

Sorry its taken me so long to reply. I ended up with quite a headache so took a break. Yes it seems to be fine now!

Still got a few probs like the width but I started another thread on that in the correct section.

Thanks for taking a look though.

Does it make any difference if I keep the old folder and contents aswell?

    D
